Overview

This standard VG 95218-21 is a detail standard for single core insulated wires which are subject to type testing and used for internal instrument wiring and also as components for cables. The detail standard specifies the specific technical requirements and tests applicable for the respective components. This standard applies in connection with generic standard VG 95218-2. The general requirements and provisions are specified in the generic standard. It contains information relating to unchanging technical requirements and test conditions; that is, properties and provisions that apply to the respective components as well as, among other things, general implementing regulations, matters of liability and patent rights. This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 140-00-05 AA "Elektrische Kabel und Leitungen" ("Electrical cables and wires") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN.
