Schutz gegen Nuklear-Elektromagnetischen Impuls (NEMP) und Blitzschlag - Prüfverfahren, Prüfeinrichtungen und Grenzwerte - Teil 70: Einspeisung von NEMP Störgrößen in die Leiteranschlüsse von Querschnittsgeräten (Verfahren LF 70); Text Deutsch und Englisch
Overview
This test standard applies to equipment to be developed, procured for, and to be furnished to the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). It shall be used in case of requirements for protection against effects of a nuclear-electromagnetic pulse of a nuclear weapon detonation in great heights (exoatmospheric NEMP). The threat parameters based on the method are specified in the standard VG 95371-10. The test method defined in VG 96903-70 shall be used to verify the required immunity to interference/destruction of equipment caused by conducted interfering quantities which, in the case of an exo-NEMP, may couple into all electrically conductive connections of systems on metallic equipment carriers. By application of the method it is intended to establish a performance standard of the multi-application equipment; however, this does not automatically guarantee NEMP protection of the equipment after incorporation into a system. The method can be used to test either single items of equipment or multi-component equipment. When applying this test method, the NEMP interference is directly injected into the line terminals of multi-application equipment. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 140-00-19 AA "Nuklear-Elektromagnetischer Puls (NEMP) und Blitz" ("Nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP) and lightning protection") at DIN.
