Abstract
This document is applicable to equipment to be developed or procured for, or to be furnished to the Bundeswehr. It is also applicable to the modernisation of equipment already introduced. The document defines the test method LF 76 together with the test parameters to be applied to the simulation of lightning disturbances coupling to cables/insulated wires. Such disturbances can be caused by the conductive, capacitive, or inductive coupling of surge voltages or surge currents. NOTE The test for commercial equipment according to DIN EN 61000-4-5 (VDE 0847-4-5) does not correspond to the test according to the present standard. For further details see explanations in VG 96903-1 Beiblatt 1.
