Abstract
This standard is applicable to systems and equipment to be developed or procured for, or to be furnished to the Bundeswehr. It is also applicable to the modernisation of equipment already introduced. The document is applicable in case of requirements for the protection against the effects of the early-time component of a high-altitude nuclear electromagnetic pulse (HEMP). The test procedure according to this document is used to verify the required immunity of systems/ equipment to interference/destruction caused by direct early-time HEMP (E1) effects.
