Title (German)

Anforderung und Qualifizierung von Schweißverfahren für metallische Werkstoffe - Schweißverfahrensprüfung - Teil 13: Pressstumpf- und Abbrennstumpfschweißen (ISO 15614-13:2012); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 15614-13:2012

Overview

The standard specifies tests for the qualification of welding procedure specifications applicable to upset (resistance butt) welding and flash welding of metallic materials. It is applicable for solid, tubular, flat and circular cross-sections. The basic principles of this standard can also be applied to other resistance welding processes when this is specified in the design description. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN ISO 15614-13:2005-09: a) the text of ISO 17654:2012 has been adopted in full; b) the title of the part of the standard has been adjusted to the current technical terms; c) the standard has been editorially revised; d) references to other standards have been updated. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 092-00-12-01 AK "Abbrennstumpf-, Press- und MBP-Schweißen (DVS AG V 3.1)" ("Flash, upset and MIAB welding (DVS AG V 3.1)") at DIN.
