Overview
In addition to DIN EN IEC 61223-3-7, this document specifies the performance of acceptance and constancy testing of dental radiographic equipment for digital cone-beam computed tomography. It applies to equipment with image recording by means of X-ray image intensifiers and flat detectors. This document specifies procedures for testing the constancy of relevant parameters. The results can be used to determine whether the properties of the imaging system have remained constant. The properties at the time of the acceptance test are used as a basis. This document has been jointly prepared by Working Committee NA 014-00-08 AA "Röntgendiagnostik" "Radiological diagnostics" at DIN Standards Committee Dentistry (NADENT) and Working Committee NA 080-00-06 AA "Bildgebende Systeme" ("Image acquisition systems") at DIN Standards Committee Radiology (NAR), in collaboration with the German Radiological Society and in cooperation with the German Society for Medical Physics, the German Society for Nuclear Medicine, and the German Society for Radiation Oncology.
