Serration splines
Abstract
This document specifies splines with notched flanks (notched splines) and a constant gap angle of 60° for the external teeth with number of teeth from 28 to 42 in a nominal size range from 7 mm to 60 mm. This document applies to spline connections with notched flanks for detachable or fixed connections between hubs and shafts that cannot be moved due to wear. As the teeth are relatively small, only low torques can be transmitted.
