Characteristic noise emission values of sound sources - Facilities for recreational and sporting activities
Abstract
This document provides information on the characteristic noise emissions of sports and leisure facilities. It provides basic instructions for obtaining measured values and specifies how the systematic compilation, comparison and application of noise emission values for such facilities should be carried out. Emission values are given for soccer, field hockey, American football, tennis, ice hockey, public ice skating, skateboard facilities, outdoor swimming pools and athletics, among others. The contributions of players, spectators, loudspeakers and other relevant sound sources have been identified separately where possible. This allows modular processing and, if necessary, a summary of different contributions that can be attributed to one facility.
