Eye and face protection for occupational use - Part 3: Additional requirements for mesh protectors - Amendment 1
Abstract
This document specifies additional material, design, performance and marking requirements for fabric protective devices designed to protect the eyes and faces of persons from mechanical hazards such as flying particles and fragments. The other applicable requirements for fabric protective devices and their supports/attachments are specified in ISO 16321-1. This document does not apply to protective equipment against splashes (including molten metal), hot particles, electrical hazards, infrared and ultraviolet radiation. Additional or alternative protective devices in accordance with ISO 16321-1 are required to protect against these hazards. This document does not apply to protective devices made of fabric for sports applications such as fencing. This document (prEN ISO 16321-3:2018) was prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 94/SC 6 "Eye and face protection" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 85 "Eye protection devices", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France); NA 027-01-01 AA "Eye protection" is responsible for national processing.
