Optics and photonics - Environmental test methods - Part 4: Salt mist - AMENDMENT 1 (ISO 9022-4:2014/AMD 1:2023)
Abstract
The standard specifies methods for the testing of optical instruments and instruments containing optical components under equivalent conditions, for their ability to resist salt mist. The purpose of testing is to assess as early as possible the ability of the instrument and, particularly, its surfaces and protective coatings, to resist the effects of a salt atmosphere. This Amendment 1 defines adapted degrees of severity for conditioning method 40: Salt mist.
