DIN Standards Committee Dentistry

Overview

DIN EN ISO 6877:2025 specifies requirements for endodontic obturation materials used for root canal filling in dentistry. It defines dimensions, tolerances, marking, and test methods for various types of obturation posts and materials, including polymeric points, carrier-based products, and thermoplastic injection materials. The standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry" in collaboration with CEN/TC 55 and replaces the 2022 edition with several technical amendments. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 014-00-01 AA "Füllungswerkstoffe" ("Filling materials") at DIN Standards Committee Dentistry (NADENT).
