DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices

Overview

This standard applies in connection with the tabular layouts of properties for tools with indexable cutting edges, tool adapters, intermediates and collets and defines the unambiguous coding of the tool interfaces between these components. This standard specifies interfaces for standardized adapters and die plates. The standard provides information on manufacturer-specific and manufacturer-independent interfaces (see Annexes C, D and E). This standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-07-01 AA "Merkmallisten und 3D-Modelle für Werkzeuge, Werkzeughalter, Spannmittel und Werkzeugmaschinen" ("Tabular layouts of properties and 3D models for tools, adaptive items, clamping devices and machine tools") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
