DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices

Overview

This document contains the Technical Specification for the manufacture and usability of forged steel hammers, unless otherwise specified for individual products. Specifically, it specifies requirements for the materials to be used and their hardness, for the design of the hammers, and for attachment of the hammer handle (extraction forces). The most recent revisions pertain to the hardness requirements, the requirements for handle extraction forces, and the test procedures. This document has been prepared by Working Group NA 121-05-12 AA "Schlagwerkzeuge" ("Impact tools") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
