DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices

Overview

This standard specifies properties for standardized and non-standardized clamped inserts for grooving, parting and thread machining. These properties form the basis for communication, for instance, between users and suppliers. A further aim is the categorization of these properties in conformity classes, amongst others, for unification of the data exchange. This standard has been prepared by NA 128-00-03-03 AK "Merkmallisten und 3D-Modelle für Werkzeuge, Werkzeughalter, Spannmittel und Werkzeugmaschinen" ("List of properties and 3D models for tools, tool holders, tensioning devices and machine tools") of the NSM.
