Overview
DIN ISO 702-3 specifies the sizes for interchangeability of bayonet-type spindle noses and the corresponding face plates. Together with DIN ISO 702-1, DIN ISO 702-3 replaces DIN 55027 and DIN 55028. This results in Type A and Type B in DIN 55028 being replaced by DIN ISO 702-1, and Type C in DIN 55028 by DIN ISO 702-3. DIN 55026, DIN 55027, DIN 55028 and DIN 55029 are withdrawn with the publication of the DIN ISO 702-1 to DIN ISO 702-4 standard series. The International ISO 702 standard series, which forms the base for this DIN ISO standard series, has been prepared by ISO/TC 39/SC 8 "Work holding spindles and chucks", with the German collaboration of Working Committee NA 121-02-07 AA "Drehmaschinenspannzeuge und Zubehör" ("Lathe clamping devices and accessories") of FWS.
