Overview

This standard specifies general quality requirements and tests for pipes made of polybutene (PB). It is directed at manufacturers and users of PB pressure pipes. This document is intended to provide users with a basic standard with the general quality requirements and the testing required for this purpose for pressure pipes made of polybutene (PB). The standard contains in particular aspects of quality. The draft standard E DIN 16969, which specifies the corresponding specifications of the dimensions for these pipes, is simultaneously submitted with this standard (DIN 16968) to the public for its opinion. The committee responsible for DIN 16968 is NA 054-05-01 AA "Außendurchmesser und Betriebsdrücke" ("Test methods for pipes") at DIN.
