Overview
This standard specifies free and fixed connectors for use in industrial environments with four contacts plus PE contact, suitable for screw and crimp terminations. The free and fixed connectors have a push-pull locking mechanism for IP 65 and IP 67 protection according to IEC 60529. Connectors according to this standard are without breaking capacity (COC) according to IEC 61984. Therefore, they are not intended to be engaged or disengaged in normal use when live or under load, if not otherwise specified by the manufacturer. The responsible Committee is K 651 "Steckverbinder" ("Connectors") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) of DIN and VDE.
