Basalt fibers - Technical specification
Abstract
This document specifies the designation, test criteria, test methods, and requirements for marking, packaging, and storage of rovings produced by a thermal spinning process from and used in the manufacture of textiles, as reinforcing fibers for plastics and hydraulic matrices, or for other applications. Textured yarns, yarns made from staple fibers, and pre-impregnated rovings are not covered by this document. The responsible working committee is NA 054-02-02 AA “Reinforced Plastics and thermosetting marterials” within the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK).
