Scope of work
The working committee is concerned with the standardization of general safety and performance requirements for firefighting vehicles and, more specifically, with the standardization of firefighting vehicles mainly for extinguishing purposes. Overview of the committee's main standardization topics to date:
- General requirements for fire fighting vehicles DIN EN 1846 series standards and DIN 14502 series standards;
- Fire fighting vehicle standards of the DIN 14530 series:
- LF 10 according to DIN 14530-5;
- LF 20 KatS according to DIN 14530-8;
- LF 20 according to DIN 14530-11;
- TSF according to DIN 14530-16;
- TSF-W according to DIN 14530-17;
- TLF 2000 according to DIN 14530-18;
- TLF 4000 according to DIN 14530-21;
- TLF 3000 according to DIN 14530-22;
- KLF according to DIN 14530-24;
- MLF according to DIN 14530-25;
- HLF 10 according to DIN 14530-26;
- HLF 20 according to DIN 14530-27;
- Additional loading sets for fire trucks standards of the series DIN 14800-18;
- Trailer for foam water monitor DIN 14521 and exhaust hoses DIN 14572.
The most important goal of the standardization work is to perform firefighting operations safely and efficiently through safety specifications and through requirements for performance parameters and interfaces to mobile water delivery components and, in particular, standardized loading.
