DIN Standards Committee Fasteners

Overview

This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-06 AA "Oberflächenschichten von Verbindungselementen" ("Surface coatings of fasteners") at DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV). This document specifies functional properties of steel screws, bolts and studs with locking coating with - metric ISO threads according to DIN ISO 261, - nominal thread diameters from 3 mm to 18 mm (standard threads), - nominal thread diameters from 8 mm to 18 mm (fine pitch thread), - strength classes according to DIN EN ISO 898-1, DIN EN ISO 3506-1 and 3506-5, and DIN 267-13, - bare and coated surfaces, - application temperature range from -50 °C to +120 °C and, depending on application specifications, up to 150 °C or up to 200 °C. This document does not specify any requirements for additional machining of the thread for the purpose of introducing a clamping product.
