Overview

This document specifies requirements for sizes M4 to M24 metric coarse pitch thread and M8×1 to M24×2 fine pitch thread studs made of steel or stainless steel, with a thread length bm at the stud end of approximately 2,5d, of product grade A. Studs complying with this document are intended for use mainly in light metals of low strength. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") at DIN Standards Committee Fasteners (FMV).
