Examples
The DIN SPEC 91368 describes and determines the quality criteria and documentation requirements that are to be observed in connection with samples when conducting scientific surveys in market, opinion and social research. It includes quality criteria and documentation requirements that can be used for any data acquisition mode and survey target group but also such criteria and requirements that are specific to certain acquisition modes and target groups.
The DIN SPEC 25714 specifies a designation system, test criteria, test methods and requirements for the marking, packaging and storage of rovings that are produced from molten basalt in a (thermal) melt-spinning process and that are used in the production of textiles as reinforcing fibres for use with plastics, hydraulic dies or in other applications.
The DIN SPEC 91347 describes integrated multi-functional Humble Lampposts (imHLa) as integrated, networked systems. They are of modular design and can house components with connectivity, sensory, actuator and energy system technology.
Published in German and English, this DIN SPEC provides users with an element-based classification and specification system for a component-oriented classification and description system for Building Information Modeling (BIM). This system is suitable for data based on the widely-used German "STLB-Bau" (a database of standardized descriptions of construction work) and compatible with the syntax and semantics of the International Standard ISO 16739 (Industry Foundation Classes, IFC). The aim is to establish a standard classification system for specifying BIM objects such as walls, windows, and other building elements - a catalogue of possible characteristics which will considerably help building planners and architects.

Apparently, many users are of the same opinion: DIN SPEC 91400 has attracted great interest during presentations attended by building specialists and software developers. Which is no surprise: This specification is the first sector-wide standard that brings together what belongs together in the world of BIM.
This specification introduces an innovative new method for testing fibre-reinforced plastics (FRPs). These textiles are widely used in the automotive and aerospace industries, for example. This method has attracted much attention in many industrial sectors.

This DIN SPEC was drawn up by consumer interest organizations, financial consultants and academic representatives working together with DIN's Consumer Council. With this DIN SPEC the results of financial analyses will be easier to quantify, more objective, and better oriented to the individual needs of a private household. In this way it ensure greater market transparency.
