Overview

This International Standard defines terms for the specification of important characteristics of alpine skis, cross-country skis (XC-skis) and snowboards. This document contains the German translation of the International Standard ISO 6289:2025, which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 83 "Sports and other recreational facilities and equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 112-03-01 AA "Ski- und Snowboardsportgeräte" ("Ski and snowboard sports equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Sports Equipment (NASport).
