Classification methods for the evaluation of irregular oscillations - Part 1: Fundamentals of the classification of irregular oscillations - Reversal point sequence
Klassierverfahren für das Erfassen regelloser Schwingungen - Teil 1: Grundlagen der Klassierung von regellosen Schwingungen - Umkehrpunktfolge
Overview
This document specifies a method for processing measurement signals having varying amplitudes and mean values in such a way that a sequence of reversal points is obtained which can then be classified. The counting methods are explained hereinafter based on the example of an oscillating load. The counting methods are also suitable for processing any time functions. Part 1 explains the terms used and describes the conversion of an analog or digital measurement signal into a reversal point sequence. This document applies to the classification of a single measured variable. This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 062-01-45 AA "Ermüdungsprüfung" ("Fatigue Testing") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
