Overview
Specification of certain test methods for winding wires in accordance with the DIN EN IEC 60317 series of standards. The following tests are more precisely described: - Test 6: Elongation; - Test 7: Springiness; - Test 8: Flexibility and adherence; - Test 11: Resistance to abrasion; - Test 18: Heat bonding. The standard differs from DIN EN 60851-3 (VDE 0474-851-3):2020-10 as follows: a) explanation with regard to distance measurement when determining coating detachment in 5.5.2, 5.5.3 for covered wires, and 5.5.4 for tape-wrapped wires.
