Fire stations - Part 3: Training tower for fire stations

Title (German)

Feuerwehrhäuser - Teil 3: Feuerwehrübungsturm

Overview

This part of the DIN 14092 series of standards specifies firefighting requirements and minimum dimensions for firefighting training towers used by the fire department: - for training and advanced training, - for the drying of hoses, oil barriers and/or other parts of equipment, - for training of special units (for example, special rescue from heights or depths), - for other special training facilities (for example, hook ladder training, proficiency badge, climbing wall), - and for alarm systems, if applicable. In order to adopt the aforementioned requirements to the state of the art and sets of rules the standard differs from DIN 14092-3:2012-04 as follows: a) space requirements have been converted into table form; b) requirements have been completely revised; c) normative references and bibliography have been updated; d) editorial revision of the standard content. The DIN 14092 series of standards for fire stations consists of Part 1: Elements for design, Part 3: Training tower for fire stations, and Part 7: Workshops. Working Committee NA 031-04-02 AA "Bauliche Anlagen und Einrichtungen" ("Constructional facilities and equipment") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW) is responsible for this standard.
