Overview

The document gives a method of establishing a flexible life cycle model and gives guidance on efficient and easy-to-understand handling technical documents during the product life cycle. It is oriented towards the various company-specific requirements based on project management techniques. It applies to companies and authorities as well as other organizations that deal with technical products and, in this context, with the creation or use of technical documentation in the product life cycle. Editorial changes have been made to the standard DIN ISO 15226:1999-10, which was withdrawn in 2016-09. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 152-06-01 AA "Dokumentationswesen" ("Documentation") at DIN Standards Committee Technical Fundamentals (NATG).
