Overview

The tolerances specified in this standard apply to the threaded portion of taps with ground profile (machine taps and finish taps) intended for the production of internal pipe threads for non-thread-sealing joints (thread abbreviation G) according to DIN EN ISO 228-1 or Whitworth internal pipe threads for taps and fittings (thread abbreviation Rp) according to DIN EN 10226-1. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 121-01-04 AA "Gewindebohrer und Schneideisen" ("Taps and dies") at DIN Standards Committee Tools and Clamping Devices (FWS).
