Electromechanical elementary relays - Part 3: Relays with forcibly guided (mechanically linked) contacts (IEC 61810-3:2015); German version EN 61810-3:2015

Title (German)

Elektromechanische Elementarrelais - Teil 3: Relais mit (mechanisch) zwangsgeführten Kontakten (IEC 61810-3:2015); Deutsche Fassung EN 61810-3:2015

Overview

This standard applies to elementary relays in which special design and constructional measures are used to ensure that make contracts cannot assume the same state as brake contacts. These relays can be used in self-monitoring control systems, for example safety-related control systems. These special requirements apply in addition to the general requirements of IEC 61810-1 in which the basic safety-related and functional requirements are specified. This standard cancels and replaces DIN EN 50205 (VDE 0435-2022):2003-01. The main changes concern the normative references. The responsible committee is DKE/K 671 "Schaltrelais" ("Relays") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
