Overview
The electromechanical switching relays defined in this standard are mainly used in telecommunications applications, but they are also suitable for particular industrial and other applications. In addition to the terms and design values, this standard contains information on the quality assessment procedure, test plans and a database for failure rates. This standard replaces the other parts of the IEC 61811 series of standards. The framework specification and the type specification forms have therefore been incorporated into this document. The responsible committee is DKE/K 671 "Schaltrelais" ("Relays") of the DKE (German Commission for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies) at DIN and VDE.
