Overview

This standard applies to the determination of the haemoglobin concentration in blood. It is applicable to the analytical phase only. The standard contains requirements for the instrumentation, measurement techniques and the reagents or their dilutions needed, which are used for the determination of the haemoglobin concentration in blood. It also applies to the determination of the haemoglobin concentration in control materials if the lysis and the conversion rates of the different Hb variants are similar as in fresh blood. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 063-03-06 AA "Hämatologie" ("Haematology") of NaMed.
