The working committee is responsible for the standardisation of reference methods and specific methods for the measurands of the blood count. For the determination of blood cell concentrations immunological staining is included to identify the target cells. In addition, requirements are defined for the blood withdrawal, erythrocyte sedimentation and control materials.
It is intended to transfer the national standards into international standards (ISO/TC 212) via CEN/TC 140.
