DIN Standards Committee Textiles and Textile Machinery

About Textilnorm

The DIN Standards Committee Textiles and Textile Machinery (Textilnorm) is responsible for establishing German (DIN) standards for the field of textile industry and textile machinery as well as clothing industry. Beside standards for dimensions and requirements also standards for terminology as well as test standards for special areas are established. In agreement with the competent insurance association against occupational accidents (Berufsgenossenschaft) safety standards for textile machinery are elaborated. At the same time Textilnorm is responsible for the coordination of the German participation in the European and worldwide committees of the corresponding organisations (CEN and ISO).
