About NWT
The DIN Standards Committee Technology of Materials (NWT) is responsible for national (DIN), European (CEN) and international (ISO) standardization in the areas of powder metallurgy, heat treatment technology and additive manufacturing processes. For powdered metals, the field of work includes the standardization of terms, material properties, material treatment and processing as well as the necessary test methods for powder, sintered metals and hard metals. In the field of heat treatment technology, the field of work includes the standardization of terms, heat treatment processes, test methods as well as requirements for heat treatment systems and heat treatment agents. The field of work for additive manufacturing processes includes the standardization of the individual processes, their terms, process chains (hardware and software), test methods, quality parameters, delivery agreements as well as their necessary foundations.
