Digital cinema - Image Projection - Part 1: Image geometries, their tolerances and test patterns
Abstract
This document defines the projection formats for digital image projection. This document contains specifications regarding the pixel space to be displayed for each individual image format. It also contains the tolerances within which the image formats are to be displayed as well as specifications regarding the design and creation of the test images. This document is to be used for all new movie theater installations and for inspections of projection technology in movie theaters. This document does not apply to home cinema installations and Full HD or Ultra HD displays.
