Personal identification and related personal devices with secure element, systems, operations and privacy in a multi sectorial environment
The development of standards for strengthening the interoperability, privacy and security of personal identification and its related personal devices, systems, software and operations in a multi sectorial environment, relating both to legal and natural persons. It includes digital identity wallets, personal identity data management, personal identity data storage, presentation and format, electronic identification and authentication, electronic signature, payment and charging, access and border control, biometric verification and identification. CEN/TC 224’s multi-sectorial environment involves sectors such as government/citizen, transport, banking, e-health, relying parties making use of personal identity related data and services as well as consumers and providers from the supply side (e.g. card manufacturers, security technology, conformity assessment body, software manufacturers.
