Overview
Due to the ever-increasing chaos in parcel deliveries and the associated increasing demands on delivery, various interested parties have come together to create a specification for so-called "user-open delivery units", also known as parcel boxes. The DIN specification describes the delivery process and defines requirements for such parcel boxes so that they can be used by all market participants, such as owners, manufacturers, transport service providers, etcetera. The specified requirements include access requirements for opening and closing the user-open transfer unit as well as requirements for posting and shipping goods of all kinds.
