Configuration baseline - Identification and establishment of the configuration baseline; Text in German and English
Abstract
The present document contains a reference list of the required information regarding the configuration baseline. A consistent design is required for products fielded in or to be fielded in the Bundeswehr, even if they are supplied at different times and by different manufacturers. This applies to the same extent for spare parts. The aim is to ensure that the complete materiel documentation for the product is available and the selected spare parts are catalogued at the time of delivery to the military user. As prerequisite for fulfilling the above-mentioned requirement, the configuration baseline valid for the delivery of the product to the Bundeswehr is determined. For a timely provision of data for the materiel cataloguing and the early start of the development of the materiel documentation, the configuration baseline is determined during the implementation phase.
