Overview
This standard specifies parameters for the hardness testing of solid materials for plain bearings made from cast and wrought copper and aluminium alloys by machining and forming their wrought products and ingots, and of tin-based ingots. The International Standard ISO 4384-2 on which this standard is based has been prepared by ISO/TC 123 "Plain bearings". The committee responsible for the German collaboration and this translation is Working Committee NA 118-02-02 AA "Werkstoffe, Schmierung, Prüfung" ("Materials, lubrication, testing") at the Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings Standards Committee (NAWGL).
