Overview
DIN 16263 applies to shut-off valves that have a spigot connection on the process side and a clamping sleeve connection and a test connection on the instrument side, for a maximum permissible pressure of 16 bar and an operating temperature range of -10°C to +50°C for pressure gauges in pressure measuring arrangements for liquids, gases, or vapors. Three designs are specified: Form A: with test connection spigot G 1/2 B or M20 × 1,5; Form B: with round test flange 40 × 5; Form C: with narrow test flange 60 × 25. This document does not specify flat sealing rings; DIN EN 837-1 applies to these. DIN 16263 is part of the related standards program for accessories for mechanical pressure gauges, which has been prepared by Working Committee NA 152-04-01 AA "Mechanische Druck- und Temperaturmessgeräte" ("Mechanical gauges for pressure and temperature") at DIN Standards Committee Technical Fundamentals (NATG). It is closely related to the standards for shut-off valves (DIN 16271 and DIN 16272), clamping sleeves (DIN 16283), and sealing caps and protective hoods for test connection plugs (DIN 16287).
