Overview
This standard (EN 16321-1:2013) has been prepared by Working Group 7 "Stage II vapour recovery systems at filling stations" (secretariat: DIN, Germany) of Technical Committee CEN/TC 393 "Equipment for storage tanks and for filling stations" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). On the German side Working Committee NA 104-02-11 AA "Gasrückführung an Tankstellen" ("Vapour recovery at filling stations") of the Tank Installations Standards Committee (NATank) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e. V. participated in the preparation of the standard. This standard specifies the measurement and test methods for the efficiency assessment of petrol vapour recovery systems for service stations (Stage II). This standard has been prepared under a mandate given to CEN by the European Commission and the European Free Trade Association, and supports the essential requirements of the EU Directive 2009/126/EC in accordance with the new conceptualization regarding Stage II of petrol vapour recovery during refuelling of motor vehicles at service stations.
