Overview
This document is intended for manufacturers of products for sports and leisure, as well as operators of facilities and providers of services in sports and leisure. This document is applicable to the manufacture, design, and operation of all products and facilities in the sports and leisure sector, as well as to services in sports and leisure. This document specifies the requirements for conducting risk assessments and risk reduction measures in public sports and leisure facilities, as well as the terms necessary for this purpose. This document provides guidelines for the identification of hazardous events and appropriate protective measures by describing the process of risk assessment and measures that lead to an acceptable level of risk. It takes into account that the application of each individual provision of this standard may not be appropriate in all circumstances. However, any deviation from this standard should ensure the same or a higher level of safety and should be justified and documented.
