This document has been prepared by Standards Committee Sports Equipment (NASport), Working Group NA 112-07-01 AA "Spielplatzgeräte" ("Playground equipment"). The rationales given in this document describe the main reasons behind the requirements given inEN 1176. The requirements in the document are the tools (for example, measures, testing methods etcetera) by which the objectives are intended to be reached.
