Overview

This document establishes principles for the control of risks to health resulting from hazardous substances emitted by machinery. It is not applicable to substances that are a hazard to health solely because of their explosive, flammable or radioactive properties or their behaviour at extremes of temperature or pressure. This standard contains the German version of the previous edition which was editorially revised by Technical Committee ISO/TC 199 "Safety of machinery" (Secretariat: DIN) of the International Committee for Standardization (ISO) in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 114 "Safety of machinery" (Secretariat: DIN) at the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) within the scope of a so-called "minor revision". This standard replaces the previous standard DIN EN 626-1, the terminology of which has been adapted to DIN EN ISO 12100.
