Safety of toys - Part 1: Mechanical and physical properties
Abstract
This European Standard specifies requirements and methods of tests for mechanical and physical properties of toys. It applies to toys for children, toys being any product or material designed or clearly intended for use in play by children of less than 14 years. It includes specific requirements for toys intended for children under 36 months and for children who are too young to sit up unaided. This European Standard also specifies requirements for packaging, marking and labelling. The consolidated version contains the Amendments A1:2007, A3:2006, A4:2007, A5:2008, A6:2008, A7:2009, A8:2009 and the Corrigendum AC:2006.
