Overview
This document specifies requirements for circular flanges made from ductile, grey and malleable cast iron for DN 10 to DN 4 000 and PN 2,5 to PN 63. See 4.1 and 4.2 for information regarding allowed DN and PN. This document specifies the types of flanges and their facings, dimension and tolerances, bolt sizes, surface finish of jointing faces, marking, testing, quality assurance and materials together with associated pressure/temperature (p/T) ratings. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 74 "Flanges and their joints", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 082-00-16 AA "Anlagenteile" ("Installation components") at DIN Standards Committee Piping and Boiler Plant (NARD).
