Overview
This document specifies the general structure for operating lists of properties and device lists of properties for process analyzers. Process analyzers are installed directly in process industry plants and in control stations specially equipped for process analyzer technology. The entire IEC 61987 series of standards deals with the semantics of the data required for the "Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)" and smart manufacturing. Subseries 4x focuses on condition monitoring information for process analyzers. This document provides the framework for other parts of IEC 61987 in which complete lists of properties for process analyzers with different designs and operating principles are specified. The general structures for the operating lists of properties and device lists of properties include the most important blocks for process analyzers. Blocks that relate to a specific device type are described in the corresponding other parts of the IEC 61987 series of standards. Likewise, device properties are not taken into consideration in this part of IEC 61987. This document contains specifications with regard to the information and its use in the exchange of product data between companies, business systems, engineering tools, internal corporate data systems, and control systems. This document provides the framework for other parts of IEC 61987 in which complete lists of properties for process analyzers with different designs and operating principles are specified. The structure for lists of properties for dynamic data for process analyzers as specified in this document can be used, for example, to describe dynamic data for condition monitoring.
