Overview

This part of IEC 61784-5 specifies the installation profiles for CPF 6 (INTERBUSTM). The installation profiles are specified in the annexes. These annexes are read in conjunction with IEC 61918:2018, IEC 61918:2018/AMD1:2022 and IEC 61918:2018/AMD2:2024. This document applies exclusively to the installation of CPF 6 (INTERBUS^TM). The standard differs from DIN EN IEC 61784-5-6 (VDE 0800-500-6):2019-07 as follows: a) harmonization with IEC 61918:2018, IEC 61918:2018/AMD1:2022, and IEC 61918:2018/AMD2:2024; b) addition of new content on Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) in Annex B, Table B.1, Table B.3, Table B.4, and Table B.6. This standard shall be consulted, for example, when installing fieldbus devices in an industrial plant that communicates via the INTERBUS^TM communication profile.
