Gas-fired endothermic engine driven heat pumps - Part 4: Test methods; German version EN 16905-4:2026
Abstract
This part of the EN 16905 series specifies the requirements, test methods and test conditions for the rating and performance calculation of gas-fired endothermic engine-driven heat pumps (GEHP) for heating and/or cooling operation, including engine heat recovery. Single-split and multi-split systems with a maximum heat input of 70 kW under standard rating conditions are covered. The document applies to GEHP systems for space heating, space cooling and refrigeration using air, water or brine as the heat transfer medium. Systems with condensers cooled by air and by the evaporation of additional water on the outside surface are not covered.
