The national committee NA 027-04-08 Watches is responsible for the standardization related to watches, which comprises both wrist watches and table and wall clocks. Technical requirements as water resistance, shock resistance and rate of watches; technical and commercial definitions as well as requirements for materials and related testing are standardized. At international level these topics are developed with intensive participation of German experts within ISO/TC 114 Horology, the secretariat of which is held by the Swiss Association for Standardization, SNV.
